Day 1:
Option 1: Drive to Rummana Campsite (19km from Rummana Campsite)
Option 2: Dana village to Feynan Ecolodge (12km from Dana village)
Option 3: Drive to Feynan Ecolodge
Time: 8 hrs from Rummana Campsite, 5 hrs from Dana village
Altitude: 850m descent
Trail: Path from Rummana Campsite to Dana village, escarpments of Wadi Dana, beautiful views, Feynan Ecolodge stay
Day 2:
Feynan Ecolodge to Wadi Barwas (14km)
Time: 5/6 hrs
Altitude: Undulating, mostly level
Trail: Stony desert of Wadi Araba, archaeological ruins, Feynan village, Acacia trees, Wadi Barwas gorge
Day 3:
Wadi Barwas to Ras elFeid (9km)
Time: 6 hrs
Altitude: 700m ascent, 250m descent
Trail: Walking on the western side of Sharah mountains, Bedouin migration path, shaded gully, Juniper trees, lush greenery, campsite
Day 4:
Ras elFeid to ShkaretMsei’d (16km)
Time: 8/9 hrs
Altitude: 170m ascent, 150m descent, 300m ascent
Trail: Scenic day, contouring Sharah Mountains, Bedouin shepherd trails, hunters’ paths, stunning views, steep sandstone overhang, conical hill saddle, camp under stars
Day 5:
ShkaretMsei’d to Beidha (15.5km)
Time: 5/6 hrs
Altitude: 150m ascent, 250m descent
Trail: Enter different landscape, agricultural fields, Juniper-filled gully, eerie sandstone domes, glimpse of Petra (Aaron’s Tomb), campsite with amenities
Day 6:
Beidha to Petra (via Monastery) (12km inside Petra)
Time: 3/4 hrs to Monastery, 5/6 hrs inside Petra
Altitude: 110m ascent, 100m descent, 100m ascent
Trail: Views of Wadi Araba, Monastery of Petra, explore Petra's sites
